I'm not going to review the Android TV platform here as I'm sure others have done that far better than I would, but this is a true Android-TV box. For the price I don't think you can do much better. If you have more to spend and are a gamer I'd recommend the Nvidia Shield, but this is a pretty good second, especially if you are on a budget. It doesn't suffer from any of the problems that I found with other similar Android-TV products in this price range. (Yes, I"m looking at you TiVo Stream 4k)

Already have a Fire TV box and a Shield, but I needed one for my RV and this works great. WiFi reception is as good or better than the shield and the only time I notice the speed difference (Shield is very fast), is during boot up. Strangely, some of the android apps behave differently (menu design) on this than on the shield which I don't understand, but I don't think that has anything to do with this box. Overall, I'm quite happy. I do not really do any 4K streaming, so I can't comment on how well it handles that, but for what I do I'm quite pleased.

I love the MiBox, and despite not comparing to the Nvidia Shield (nothing does really) is a great Android TV experience for the best price.
